Extra Curricular |
Band
Fifth grade students may choose to participate in the elementary band program. This is a fee-based program that includes a small group lesson during the school day and a full band practice before or after school. Band students perform in a number of concerts throughout the school year. |
Chorus
Students in grades four and five may participate in the elementary school chorus program. This program takes place after school and is directed by the vocal music teacher. The chorus performs at two concerts during the year. |
Orchestra
Students in grades four and five may participate in the elementary orchestra program. This is a fee-based program and involves a small group lesson during the school day and a full orchestra practice before or after school. Orchestra students perform in a number of concerts throughout the school year. |
Intramurals
There is also an intramural program for students in grades four and five throughout the year. Students participate in seasonal sports during their lunch recess. |
Reading Opportunities
There are several optional opportunities for students to participate in reading activities including Jr. Great Books, Battle of the Books, Books and Bites, Breakfast Club, and Lunch Bunch. |
Student Safety Patrol
Fifth grade students may become safety patrol members and assist before, during, and after school. Responsibilities include assisting students crossing the street, walking kindergarteners to their busses, and crossing students who may go home for lunch. |
